Google is the leading Internet search engine. This means that more people use Google to search for items online than any other single search portal. What does this mean to you, the eBay seller?

It means that you need to make sure that someone can find your eBay listings if they are searching on Google for the products you sell. How is this done? It is actually very simple, assuming you have an eBay Store. There are many benefits of having an eBay Store, and this is just one of them.

In order to easily get your eBay Store items listed on Google, you first need to create a free Google account.

Next, you will need to download and install the free Google Base Store Connector software, which requires a PC running the Windows operating system. When you initially run Google Base Store Connector, you will enter the information about your eBay Store so that the software will be able to gather information about all of the listings in your store.

As you can see from the following quote from the Google Base Store Connector page, you can also use Google Store Connector with other e-commerce solutions that you might be using along with your eBay Store.

“If you have an online store with eBay, Yahoo, or osCommerce, why not make sure that Google users can find it, too? Google Base Store Connector is a free download that puts info about your store into our index, so that when people search Google for the products you have to sell, you’ll show up in their search results, along with a link directly to your site on eBay, Yahoo, or osCommerce.”

Another advantage of using Google Base Store Connector is that your eBay Store listings will also show up in the Google Product Search index. Google Product Search is Google’s online shopping search engine. In other words, it is a place people go to find products they want to buy.

Here is how Google explains Google Product Search and Google Base:

“Google Product Search is Google’s online shopping search engine. Google Base is a free Google service that allows you to publish your information for inclusion in Google search results. To include your products in Product Search, you must submit your information to Google Base.”

As you can see, if you are not already using the Google Base Store Connector to get your eBay Store listings on Google, you are potentially missing out on some sales from people who are on Google searching for what you are selling. The best part is all of this is free. So what are you waiting for?
