As a business owner, you are always looking for a way to get ahead. One of the means to this end is through continually keeping abreast of what is going on in your industry.
The advent of the Internet really makes it easy for a business owner to be well informed. In fact, the Internet sometimes makes it a bit too easy to be kept in the know. It is easy to find yourself rapidly approaching information overload from all of the readily available information that is online.
We try to do our best to keep informed as to what is going on in the business world, and more specifically, the online retail world. Here is a list of the emails/newsletters that we subscribe to. Check them out and see if there isn’t something here to help you and your business be more successful:
- IRNewsLink – a daily industry news email from Internet Retailer.
- Shop.org Smart Brief – a daily email of online retail news from the National Retail Federation.
- NRF SmartBrief – a daily briefing on top stories in the retail industry from the National Retail Federation.
- Startup Nation – a weekly newsletter from the leading entrepreneur Internet site.
- About.com Entrepreneurs and Online Business newsletters – About.com publishes several newsletters for the entrepreneur. These are two that we subscribe to.
- The Home Business Pulse – a weekly newsletter from homebusiness.com.
- ecommerce-guide.com – News, reviews and practical solutions for your online business from internet.com. (NOTE: You do have to register on internet.com to receive this newsletter. Use the register link at the top of ecommerce-guide.com)
- Small Business Computing.com – Your Online Guide to Small-Business Technology. (NOTE: You do have to register on internet.com to receive this newsletter. Use the register link at the top of smallbusinesscomputing.com)
- Auctionbytes – Ecommerce news with a heavy slant towards eBay and online auctions.
The above list represents a small sampling of the information that is out there for you to absorb. This is a list of the emails we subscribe to. There are most likely many more out there. That’s the wonderful thing about the Internet!
